And back again.

Current location: the Boon computer lab at Nyack College, in balmy Nyack, New York, long stone's throw from the Hudson.

Well, it's been done: I have now successfully circumnavigated the globe. Well, kinda. I didn't actually do any of the navigating, but y'know. Arrived last night at Newark's Liberity (And Justice For Some) International Airport, making my travels global. Fun.

Or not so fun; I had to leave my wonderful girlfriend at London-Heathrow as airport staff said she couldn't be classified as a carry-on, and I'd have to check her. I love her too much to bring her to America in the belly of an Airbus. BUT, she will be coming State-side in a fully pressurized cabin this July, and I seriously can't wait. The Grand Tour will follow, so get your tickets early.

(Okay, so it isn't a mawkish couple picture, but it's still pretty cool: Jo in Edinburgh Castle.)

The little brother and his girl came to pick me up last night 11-ish local (god-awful GMT), and we rolled on campus sometime after 1. My body told me that 9am was sometime in the afternoon in London-town, so I rolled out of bed and eventually found myself in a deserted international cafe in Nyack with a big cuppa joe and three danishes for under 1 pound 20. I am amazed by this phenomenon. May pop into the City tomorrow before heading up to the 'rentals' in the evening, but there are no definites yet. The idea of seeing Tokyo, London, AND New York within six weeks of each other is truly intriguing, if not pocketbook-emptying.

Oh yeah, and stay tuned here for End-of-Japan, U.K. tour, and Returning-Home stories, for there will be plenty. The Japan blog will still be updated with stories I haven't finished yet or was too lazy to start but should, so take a peek at that every now and again. Photos will hopefully be uploaded to the blog and Flickr in the near future as time, availability, and cat-tolerance allows.

As for me, I'm off to locate some coffee and a tuned body-clock.

Peace,
T--> ny
