Pretty productive day today; $15 got me a good lunch, three newspapers, a medium coffee, a line on a cell phone, and a job. Not bad.

Walked into my old Caribou Coffee shop, ordered a coffee, and noticed one of the girls I'd worked with before going to Japan. She got excited, and said "Oh cool! You're back! It would be cool if you could work here again!" to which I replied, "Yes. Yes it would." So they called Andy, the manager I worked with last, told him I was back in town and looking for a job, and he said what I think amounts to I could start a week from Monday. Before I even applied. Nice.

Bonus: one of the newspapers I picked up was the Onion. Good times.


Though I must say, working at a coffee shop and starting sometime before sanity A.M. will be a rude awakening from what has been a month-long, three-nation holiday. Boo to that.
