In response to Iain's fiery post of August the 25th.
On behalf of all the Americans who:
1). Share in your grief over the tragic loss of British troops, and the tragic circumstances that led to their deaths;
2). Share in your grief, because it is our grief as well;
3). Do not support the war in Iraq, believing that it is immoral and a gross over-extension of power by those who seek to gain ever more power;
4). CANNOT WAIT until the current "administration" is out of power, so we can, hopefully, begin to regain the trust of the rest of the world; and
5). Belong to the majority who have never voted for a Bush, tree, shrub, creeping vine, or any other kind of semi-sentient vegetation.
We, the above, hereby humbly offer Exhibit B as an example that, in war, there are very rarely innocent parties.
We hope and pray that someday soon we can cease using a generation as cannon fodder for the gain of rich politicians. Of all countries.
"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired, signifies, in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed."
- Former President, and General, Dwight D. Eisenhower
