Well, it HAD to happen eventually. I'm finally finished at Caribou. Again.
A customer came in on Thursday, and I told him that the next day was going to be my last, to which he replied, "What? Again!?" This is the third time I've quit at this store in the past three years. And hopefully my last.
Rock on, 'Bou kids.
Started my "second," weekend job at my grandma's apartment again last weekend. I worked here full-time before I headed out to Japan; the same time I worked part-time at Caribou. Coming back was a bit like coming full circle, a bit like starting over, and a bit like coming home. It's good to be making some extra money, and good to be able to see my grandma more.
Start my next full-time gig in St. Paul on Tuesday. Not exactly sure what all it entails, "it" being a writing/communications internship, but it'll be good to start something new again, and hopefully help pad the ol' résumé with some decent business writing skills. And it'll definitely help in the finance department with getting prepared for England.
In other news, the Girl comes out for a visit in T-Minus 30 days, which has got me very excited indeed, and has me trying to find some fun things to do while she's here. So far the plan includes:
- Going to see "1776," a musical about the Founding Fathers, at the Guthrie.
- Going to a Saints game (since the Twins ever so inconsiderately decided to play away games while she's here).
- Having a Fourth of July barbecue (where there will be NO burning of British citizens ;) ).
- And going to see the World's Largest Ball of Twine in Darwin, MN.
Nothing but class for my lady.
Summer is upon us here, and tomorrow is lawn-mowing-before-work day, which will hopefully include some sun-tanning (or sun-pinking in my melanin-deficient case) and exclude rain. Then Monday off, start work on Tuesday, and the long, down-hill run into July and the Girl's visit. Good times.
Updates as they become relevant.

Hahaha! I FORGOT! Definitely the Green Giant statue. I've been by it. :)
I'll let you know how the internship goes. Any more crazy "psychics" pounce on you lately?
What?!?! But my favorite part of July 4th celebrations is the traditional burning of the English! LOL.
Is she going to want to see the MOA?
Also, hooray you and congrats on your internship!
